Pattaya (พัทยา) is a resort city in Thailand. It is on the east coast of the Gulf of Thailand, about 100 km (62 mi) south-east of Bangkok. Pattaya has derived part of its reputation as a tourist destination due to its well known nightlife.

Sanctuary of Truth

Sanctuary of Truth is a massive unfinished all-wood building filled with sculptures based on traditional Buddhist and Hindu motifs. Standing at 105 metres, it features contemporary visionary art based on traditional religious themes. The style of the sanctuary evokes Khmer architecture, displaying hand-carved wooden sculptures indicative of the imperial setting at Angkor. It has four gopura (an ornate monumental tower), respectively representing images from the Buddhist and Hindu religions and mythologies of Cambodia, China, India and Thailand.

Wat Phra Yai

Located on top of Pratumnak Hil, Wat Phra Yai is an 18-metre tall Buddha. It is a popular spot for locals to pray and for tourists to see the elaborate and intricate design of the statue and the temple complex. The hilltop also provides a nice view of the city. und 200 baht. Across from Wat Phra Yai is a Chinese temple dedicated to Guan Yin, and a Taoist temple.

Jomtien Beach

Jomtien Beach or Jomtien is an ocean front neighbourhood filled with high-rise condominiums, beach side hotels, beaches, bars and restaurants. It has become quite popular with Bangkok residents seeking a second home, as well as with retired expatriates. The area is known for its water sports (jet skiing, para-sailing, scuba diving), and for several annual sponsored sports events and festivals, attracting visitors from around the world.

Opened in 2008, Pattaya Floating Market offers hundreds of boats and stalls selling a large variety of Thai food, traditional snacks, fresh fruit and vegetables, handmade crafts, dried goods and souvenirs. Visitors can also take a boat ride through the narrow waterways.

Nong Nooch Tropical Botanical Garden

Nong Nooch Tropical Botanical Garden is a 600-acre garden with many species of plants. It is the largest botanical garden in Southeast Asia. Features include French Garden, European Gardem, Ant Tower and Butterfly Hill, among others. There are also religious ceremonies, martial arts demonstrations, massages, and elephant shows.

Cartoon Network Amazone

Opened in 2014, Cartoon Network Amazone Waterpark is the world's first Cartoon Network themed waterpark. The park has recreated an atmosphere of Amazon rainforest with several attractions and activities such as water slides, artificial sea, rafting, flowriding and live shows, all featuring Cartoon Network's famous characters including Ben 10 and his aliens.

Ko Lan

Ko Lan, also known as the Coral Island, is a small island 7 kilometres from the shore of Pattaya. It is an island of hills covered with low tropical forest. A Buddhist shrine is located at its highest point. The island has two small villages. The west side is filled with white sandy beaches, with Tawaen Beach being the most visited. Ko Lan is the only place suitable for swimming in Pattaya thanks to its clean water.

Pattaya Walking Street

Pattaya Walking Street is a red-light/entertainment district in the centre of the city. The street attracts many domestic and international visitors, primarily for its night life. The area offers seafood and fine dining restaurants, live music venues, beer bars, discothèques, sports bars, go-go bars, nightclubs and hotels. The street is notable for its large neon signage.
